St. Patrick’s Day Gnome (aka Gonk) – Beginner Needle Felting Class 🍀
Meet the luckiest little guy you’ll ever stab… with wool. This fuzzy fellow is here to bring good vibes, cozy chaos, and a solid excuse to learn needle felting without committing to anything emotionally overwhelming.
In this beginner-friendly needle felting class, you’ll learn how to turn fluffy wool into an adorable St. Patrick’s Day gnome complete with a jaunty green hat, glorious beard, and a shamrock that says I tried today. No experience required. If you can poke wool repeatedly and follow along while chatting, you’re already qualified.
What you’ll learn:
• The basics of needle felting (aka how not to stab yourself)
• Shaping wool into a solid form
• Adding details like hats, beards, and festive flair
• How to relax through repetitive stabbing in a socially acceptable way
What’s included:
• All wool and supplies
• Use of felting tools during class
• Step-by-step instruction
• A finished gnome you’ll be weirdly proud of
Who it’s for:
Absolute beginners, crafty dabblers, stressed humans, and anyone who loves tiny seasonal decor with big personality.
☘️ Warning: Side effects may include smugness, the urge to make more gnomes, and announcing “I MADE THIS” to strangers.
Perfect for celebrating St. Patrick’s Day, welcoming spring, or just adding one more delightfully unnecessary handmade thing to your life.
You don’t need experience. Just curiosity, patience, and a willingness to poke wool until it becomes adorable.
This class is bright, bouncy, and just the right amount of ridiculous — the perfect creative break for kids, adults, or anyone who needs an afternoon that doesn’t involve a to-do list or taxes.
Skill level: Beginner-friendly
Warning: Contains sharp needles, wool fuzz everywhere, and a strong chance you’ll speak in a brogue before you leave.
Instructor: Tracy Winslow — Owner of Low Country Shrimp & Knits (and professional wool-stabber)
Class: Saturday, March 7th • 2–4 PM
Class Fee Includes: Lesson and All the materials (and moral support) you need to make your own adorable friend(aka everything you need except snacks and patience).
