Classes and Events
Everyone can enjoy knitting and crocheting! Even if you've tried and failed. Even if you are left handed. Even if your great Aunt Tilly tried to teach you when you were young and you had words and now PTSD about the experience. We have never had anyone leave without learning something new at Low Country Shrimp and Knits.
We have classes for all levels, from beginner to expert. Some are teaching the basics, some are project based. All are fun and an amazing way to learn a lifelong hobby.
Class Policies - There are a few provisos, a couple of quid pro quos...
For project-based classes we require your yarn to be purchased at Low Country Shrimp and Knits. This way we can guarantee the yarn and/or subsitutions. And - this is a yarn store! We have thousands of fun yarns to play with plus we will give you a 10% discount will be given on yarn and fiber purchased for use in our classes and an additional 10% on anything purchased on the day of the class.
You MUST leave your phone number and email address when you sign up, in case there is a change made to the class. If a class needs to be rescheduled, we will attempt to contact you to inform you of the change. In the event that a class needs to change dates, you may take the next class that we offer, or receive a refund.
Classes (including private lessons) must be paid in advance. If you must cancel, we will do our best to switch you to a comparable class. Credit towards a future class will be given if Low Country Shrimp and Knits is notified of your cancellation at least 48 hours before the class begins.
Cancellations must be made via email to shrimpandknits@gmail.com in order to receive class credit. If a class is cancelled by Shrimp and Knits you will receive a full refund of your class fee promptly.
Class registration is for the full session only. If you cannot make all sessions of a class, we suggest you sign up for a different class. No refund will be issued for missed classes or after a class series has begun.
We understand things arise that are out of your control and will do our best to accommodate your needs. However, it is your responsibility to ensure you remember the date and time of the class for which you signed up. You will not receive a reminder of the class prior to the start.
Please contact Tracy with any questions. She only bites a little - unless she is hangry. Then all bets are off. Best to toss food in her general direction and proceed with caution into the moment subsides.
