That is so sad! You deserve happiness and fine things. Cast on a new project, the most squishy yarn, fun notions and instruction books, some new skills and fiber friends with a class... Plus, this habit is much better for your teeth than crack.

Behold the eight-armed chaos nugget you’ll somehow bring to life… with wool and a whole lot of poking. This squishy little octopus has zero boundaries and the undeniable confidence of someone who thinks multitasking is a personality trait. Is it plotting something? Probably. Is it adorable? Absolutely.

In this beginner-friendly needle felting class, you’ll learn how to turn loose, fluffy wool into a delightfully round octopus with wiggly tentacles and just enough attitude to keep things interesting. We’ll cover shaping, attaching those noodly limbs, and bringing your little sea gremlin to life—no experience required. If you enjoy repetitive poking, a touch of whimsy, and creating something that looks both cute and mildly suspicious, you are exactly who this class is for.

What you’ll learn:
• The basics of needle felting (aka controlled poking)
• Shaping wool into a sturdy bunny form
• Adding details like ears, faces, and tiny ocean going charm
• How repetitive stabbing can feel oddly soothing when snacks are nearby

What’s included:
• All wool and supplies
• Use of felting tools during class
• Step-by-step instruction

Who it’s for:
Total beginners, seasonal craft lovers, stressed humans, and anyone who needs respite from the hot sun and sand

Warning: Side effects may include excessive smilingand loudly telling people, “I MADE THIS WITH A NEEDLE.”

You don’t need experience. Just curiosity, patience, and a willingness to poke wool until it becomes undeniably cute.

This class is cozy, cheerful, and just the right amount of chaotic — a perfect creative escape for kids, adults, or anyone who wants an afternoon that does not involve emails or wants a respite from the hot sun!

Skill level: Beginner-friendly

Safety note: Contains sharp needles, floating wool fuzz, and a high probability you’ll leave planning your next felting project

Instructor: Tracy Winslow — Owner of Low Country Shrimp & Knits (and professional wool-stabber)

Class: Saturday, July 18th • 2–4 PM

Class Fee Includes: Lesson and All the materials (and moral support) you need to make your own adorable friend (aka everything you need except snacks and patience).
