That is so sad! You deserve happiness and fine things. Cast on a new project, the most squishy yarn, fun notions and instruction books, some new skills and fiber friends with a class... Plus, this habit is much better for your teeth than crack.

Gramps Baby Sweater Knit-Along: A Sweater with Personality

Some sweaters are practical. Some are pretty. And some have personality. Meet Gramps by Tin Can Knits—the easygoing cardigan that looks equally at home on a newborn, a favourite curmudgeon, or you.

Join us for a knit-along as we work through this approachable, endlessly customizable sweater. With sizing from newborn through adult, Gramps makes a terrific gift knit or an easy, wearable addition to your own closet. Add pockets and elbow patches if you’re feeling particularly professorial—or skip them for a clean, classic look.

Along the way, you’ll learn the ins and outs of a top-down cardigan knit flat, including knitting the sleeves in the round, picking up stitches for a button band, and working a short-row shawl collar. We’ll knit together, troubleshoot together, and give your Gramps plenty of personality along the way.

Plan to knit an infant-to-child size in over 4 classes in October.  Learn new techniques and get a sense of satisfaction of finishing a garment in a month!

Come knit a Gramps. Make it yours. And maybe make one for your favourite curmudgeon, too.

In sizes from child through adult - the perfect giftable project!
