That is so sad! You deserve happiness and fine things. Cast on a new project, the most squishy yarn, fun notions and instruction books, some new skills and fiber friends with a class... Plus, this habit is much better for your teeth than crack.

ISAGER SOFT FINE 🧶 — “Isager’s Cashmere” (and yes, it’s that good)

You know how sometimes something is so soft it makes you question whether you’ve been knitting with sandpaper this whole time? Meet ISAGER SOFT FINE — the yarn equivalent of a sigh of relief, a baby alpaca hug, and a silk robe on a cloud.

This dreamy yarn is the finer cousin of ISAGER SOFT — same gorgeous texture, but with a little extra elegance and fluff. Think of it as the refined older sister who drinks espresso and listens to vinyl but still gives excellent hugs.

Here’s the scoop:

  • It starts with a core of silk, because luxury.

  • Then a strand of alpaca and yak is added in a loopy bouclé twist (that’s fancy talk for “fun texture”).

  • Finally, it’s brushed to absolute fluff perfection.

The result? A yarn that’s light, airy, and so soft it should probably come with a warning label that says: “You will not stop petting this.”

What Makes It Special

  • Texture twins with ISAGER SOFT – but sleeker, smoother, and more refined.

  • Yak wool magic: The deep, natural undertone of yak adds gorgeous, earthy richness to every color.

  • Luxury-level softness: So buttery, the Isager team literally nicknamed it “Isager’s cashmere.”

  • Completely different knit feel: Especially with just one strand — it glides like silk but has the cozy halo of mohair (without the mohair drama).

Honestly, if clouds could knit, they’d use this. It’s softer than my willpower in a yarn sale and more addictive than scrolling Ravelry at midnight.

Perfect for scarves, lightweight sweaters, or that project you want to keep petting long after it’s done.

Materials: 63% Alpaca, 26% Silk and 11% Yak

Yardage: 600 m / 100 g

Weight: Fingering weight

Needle Size and Gauge: Isager Soft Fine: 10 cm = 3,5 mm needle – 21 sts / 32 rows
Isager Soft Fine: 10 cm = 4,5 mm  needle – 16 sts / 26 rows
Isager Soft Fine: 10 cm = 6,0 needle – 13 sts /26  rows

Yarn Care: Wool should be washed by hand unless you have a washing machine that uses lukewarm water (below 28°  Celsius) and has a very gentle wool cycle.
To avoid felting, please observe the following:
Use very little soap and use a wool mark approved detergent. Be careful to keep the same temperature during the entire washing and rinsing process (not above 28°Celsius). After washing and rinsing place the garment in a washing bag and spin it lightly in a washing machine. Then place the garment flat on towel and leave to dry.
Woolen garments do not necessarily need washing very often. Airing outside in damp weather will often be sufficient. Yarns from cotton and yarns made from mixed fibres containing flax and bamboo could be washed in warm water, but still we recommend the same washing instructions as for wool.
