“Awww Tracy Got a New Toy” Yarn Bowls
So… I bought a 3D printer.
Because clearly running a yarn shop, teaching classes, writing articles, and occasionally remembering to feed my pets was leaving me with too much free time.
Naturally, the solution was a machine that melts plastic noodles and turns them into objects while I stare at it like it’s a tiny robot oven baking chaos.
Enter: The Yarn Bowl Experiment.
These yarn bowls are being lovingly produced during my current phase of “2:07 AM Confidence.” You know the feeling. You’re scrolling, watching tutorials, whispering to yourself:
“Yes. I absolutely understand how this works. How hard could it be?”
Fast forward several hours and suddenly the printer is humming, plastic is flying, and I’m standing there like Dr. Frankenstein but with yarn accessories instead of lightning.
And the results?
Perfectly imperfect yarn bowls.
Some are a little quirky.
Some have… personality.
Some clearly came from a moment where the printer and I were having a creative disagreement.
But every single one:
🧵 Holds your yarn
🧵 Prevents the classic “ball of yarn rolls across the room and under the couch” situation
🧵 Comes with a healthy dose of curiosity, trial-and-error, and mild chaos
Think of them as beta versions of greatness.
One day I’ll be a 3D-printing wizard.
For now?
You get the limited edition “Tracy is learning new things and refuses to quit” collection.
Each bowl is unique.
Each one can put stuff in it.
Each one represents a small victory over technology.
And honestly… I’m kind of ridiculously proud of them.
So grab one of these early creations and help support my latest hobby before I inevitably decide I also need a laser cutter.
