This Summer Knit Along features the Cloudbreak Tee by Wool & Pine, an easy knit with just enough intricacy to keep you going. As soon as you get bored with endless stockinette it's time to do a little lace work! Perfect if you haven't attempted lace, this tee is truly a rewarding knit that, once finished, is the ideal casual tee for every day wear.
Construction Details (Why This Is a Fantastic KAL Project)
The Cloudbreak Tee is worked seamlessly top down with saddle shoulders in a continguous construction, which means you get a set-in sleeve fit without the fuss of short rows or knitting flat. Here’s how it unfolds:
• The yoke is cast on and worked flat with increases creating shaping through the shoulders, crew neck, and sleeves.
• The sleeves are split and then the body is joined in the round.
• Once the body is about half as long as desired the lace detailing is started.
• The top is finished by picking up the collar and sleeve edges to add a band.
This project is great for adventurous beginners all the way through advanced knitters!
🧶 What You Get
• Guided check-ins and friendly help as you knit
• Color palette ideas and yarn support. We recommend Freckled Frog Southern Comfort DK or Super Silky DK, Berroco Tillie, or Wonderland Yarns Cotton Kiss
• Fit and modification guidance if you’d like to adjust length or proportions
• A finished wardrobe staple
• Accountability so this doesn’t become a perpetual “work in progress”
This is steady progress with built-in support.
