Tunisian crochet is the delightful hybrid of knitting and crochet you didn’t know you needed. Worked with a long hook or a hook with an attached cable for larger projects. This technique creates a beautiful, textured fabric that’s perfect for afghans, scarves, and bags.
What makes Tunisian crochet different from traditional crochet is how the stitches are worked. Instead of completing one stitch at a time, you’ll collect multiple loops on your hook during the forward pass, then work them off during the return pass, finishing each row with just one loop left on the hook. The result is a unique fabric with a woven look and incredible texture.
