Robin’s knitting journey began as a teenager in Ottawa, and she has been knitting her way across North America—and anywhere else in the world she finds herself—for nearly four decades. Over the years, she has lived in various cities in the U.S. and Canada, finally landing in the Low Country in 2022 with a yarn stash that should have its own zip code.
Robin splits her time between Hilton Head Island and Sand Lake in southeastern Ontario. Her wanderlust doesn’t stop at driving the interstates between HHI and Ontario, though. She and her husband never miss a chance to fly somewhere far-flung—especially if there’s fiber to be found. Their travels are shared with two now-adult sons, both of whom grew up very familiar with the phrase, “Just wait until I finish my row,” before dinner was served or an outing could begin.
When she isn’t at the shop, you’ll find Robin walking her dog Piper while enjoying the amazing natural surroundings, exercising with her husband at Coastal Carolina CrossFit, baking in the kitchen, or singing in a community choir.
Robin loves sharing her knowledge and enthusiasm for knitting with the wonderful customers of Low Country Shrimp and Knits. She is delighted to be part of the warm, creative community that Tracy has fostered.
