No seams baby blanket!  What could be better!?!

Knit a square baby blanket knit from the center outward and there is no need to play yarn chicken!  You'll know exactly how much blanket you have as you go.  Once you bind off, sew in your ends and voilà- you are all done!

Feels like magic that you can knit in the round and generate a square blanket as you cast off.  Strategic placement of the increases is the key to success.  Come and learn a few tips and tricks and get knitting for a little one in your life.

Class Date:  Saturday April 12th, 2-4pm

Please arrive at Low Country Shrimp and Knits 10 minutes before the start of class, with materials in hand. All classes will begin promptly at the scheduled time. 

Class fee: $50 for a 2-hour in-person session. Then when you have any questions, you make an appointment to get additional support so the project is at your own pace. Any purchases made for and during the class will receive 10% off!

Project is best for:  Adventurous beginners.  Should know how to knit/purl, cast on and cast off. 

Yarn: Prefereably worsted weight or larger for immediate gratification.  Vintage, Comfort, Cascade 220 Superwash Aran are just a couple of suggestions.

Yardage:
 estimate - 600 yards or more depending on the size you want to make.  Please note that yardage is estimated, and can vary between knitters and yarn used.

For project-based classes we require your yarn to be purchased at Shrimp and Knits with a 10% discount in advance of the class. 

Needles:  Circular US7/US8 or whatever size is suggested for your yarn.  You will need  the right equipment to work a small number of stitches in the round to start (DPNs, 2 circulars or long circular to use the magic loop method)

Notions: at least 4 Stitch Markers

Pattern Information:  Will be supplied for class

Gauge:  16-20 stitches per 4"

Note- You should always knit your swatch the same way that the pattern is knit. 

Minimum of three participants for class to take place. Please arrive at Low Country Shrimp and Knits 10 minutes before the start of class. All classes will begin promptly at the scheduled time.
