Be tickled pink with a knitted Flamingo Cushion cover. The removable cover is to fit a 40cm/16” square cushion pad, and uses intarsia colour-work following the chart in the pattern. Designed by Amanda Berry @fluffandfuzz, the cushion cover is knitted in DK yarns on single pointed needles.

Class Date: Saturday, March 1st from 1-3 pm

Please arrive at Low Country Shrimp and Knits 10 minutes before the start of class, with materials in hand. All classes will begin promptly at the scheduled time. 

Class fee: $50 for a 2-hour in-person session. Then when you have any questions, you make an appointment to get additional support so the project is at your own pace.

Project is best for: For confident beginners and above, other techniques used include casting on and off, knits, purls, yo increase and k2tog decrease to work buttonholes, and seaming to finish.

Yarn: DK/Sport Weight

Yardage:
 ≈ 600 yards of main color, ≈300 yards of bright pink, 100 yards of light pink and black. Please note that yardage is estimated, and can vary between knitters and yarn used.

For project-based classes we require your yarn to be purchased at Shrimp and Knits with a 10% discount in advance of the class. 

Needles: A pair of 4mm single pointed knitting needles (US 6).

Notions: Tapestry needle, bobbins, buttons, pins for making up, and a 40cm cushion pad,

Pattern Information: 

Gauge: 22 stitches and 28 rows = 4 inches
in stockinette

Note- You should always knit your swatch the same way that the pattern is knit. 

Sizes: One size only - 40cm square.

Minimum of three participants for class to take place. Please arrive at Low Country Shrimp and Knits 10 minutes before the start of class. All classes will begin promptly at the scheduled time.
