That is so sad!

You deserve happiness and fine things. Like a new project...

This is a SERIOUSLY fun project - Stephen West's Briornate Shawl. Once you understand each different section - it's a great project to chill and knit. Also, a wonderful way to learn how to do the brioche stitch without commitment to a ginormous project. You will be addicted to making this!

Select four shades of DK weight yarn to knit this ornate assemblage of brioche and dip stitches. The shawl begins at the top center with an I-cord Tab Cast on, followed by a textured droplet stitch. Single color brioche ribbing occurs between the various dip stitch sections with garter ridges framing each texture. Use a gradient or fade of colors from light to dark and enjoy the beautiful stitch details throughout this semi-circular shawl.

Check out Tracy's sample at the shop. Instead of the gradient colors used by Stephen West, she chose one bright variegated yarn and three other complementary solid colors to create a bold, in-your-face shawl. Go big or go home...
