Hate grafting together sock toes?  Want to try on the sock as you knit to get a better fit?  Give toe-up sock knitting a try!  Learn a smooth cast on to start to your knitting in the round.  We'll talk about the heel and options for casting off at the cuff.  Either use the free pattern suggested below, or bring a toe-up pattern of your choice.

Class Date:  Saturday February 8th from 2:00 pm to 4:00pm

Please arrive at Low Country Shrimp and Knits 10 minutes before the start of class, with materials in hand. All classes will begin promptly at the scheduled time. 

Class fee: $50 for a 2-hour in-person session. Then when you have any questions, you make an appointment to get additional support so the project is at your own pace. Any purchases made for and during the class will receive 10% off!

Project is best for:  Adventurous beginner.  Should know how to cast on, knit, purl and cast off.

Yarn:  Any smooth sock yarn of choice- Dream in Color Smooshy, Jawoll Superwash, Laines du Nord Eclectic Sock... but there is a wall of yarn with great choices to choose from.

Yardage:
 Please note that yardage is estimated, and can vary between knitters and yarn used.

For project-based classes we require your yarn to be purchased at Shrimp and Knits with a 10% discount in advance of the class. 

Needles: Needles for working in the round that are recommended for your sock yarn to get pattern gauge - likely size US1-2

Notions: Stitch Markers, scissors - whatever is in your notions bag!

Gauge:  32 stitches/4"

Note- You should always knit your swatch the same way that the pattern is knit.
