Oh my goodness - this sweater is WILD! It's a basic pattern that you can't figure out how it comes together until the end - hence the name.
Elizabeth Zimmermann’s Baby Surprise sweater has become near legendary since its conception in 1968. The jacket is knitted back and forth in Garter stitch, then cleverly folded and completed by weaving the shoulder seams. It has been made over 30,000 times on Ravelry.
Instructor: Tracy Winslow - Owner Low Country Shrimp and Knits
Dates: Saturday, January 11 from 1-3pm
Class fee: $50 for a 2-hour in-person session. Then when you have any questions, you make an appointment to get additional support so the project is at your own pace.
Yarn: DK Weight
For project-based classes we require your yarn to be purchased at Shrimp and Knits in advance of the class so a swatch can be made to ensure you begin your project during the class.
Level: This is best suited for all levels of knitters but especially geared toward beginners
Please arrive at Low Country Shrimp and Knits 10 minutes before the start of class, with materials in hand. All classes will begin promptly at the scheduled time.
Review Low Country Shrimp and Knits' full class policies at the bottom of the Classes and Events page before registering.
