Cover your canine companion in beautiful textured stitches with the Dustland Dog Sweater! This pattern is knit with DK weight yarn and lots of easy textured stitch patterns. Choose between nine sizes from petite pups to big breeds and enjoy the seamless construction starting at the neck and knitting toward the body. The pattern includes several sizing notes to help you customize your chosen size to perfectly fit your pup. The length of the yoke, body, and legs are very easy to customize by working more or fewer sections of the textured stitches. There is an optional harness hole in the pattern, so you can style the sweater on top of your dog’s harness. Increases along the back and short rows help lengthen the back of the sweater, resulting in a sweater fit that is equal parts cute and functional. Coordinate the Dustland Dog Sweater with the other Westknits Dustland designs like the Dustland Cardigan or Dustland Shawl!

Class Date:  Saturday, April 27th from 11-1pm

Please arrive at Low Country Shrimp and Knits 10 minutes before the start of class, with materials in hand. All classes will begin promptly at the scheduled time. 

Class fee: $50 for a 2-hour in-person session. Then when you have any questions, you make an appointment to get additional support so the project is at your own pace.

Project is best for: People with dogs who are beginners who know the basics of knitting. This is a good way to make a sweater without the commitment to a human sized one. Plus, fun Stephen West pattern!

Yarn: DK (11 wpi)

Yardage:
 70 - 580 yards (64 - 530 m) Please note that yardage is estimated, and can vary between knitters and yarn used.

For project-based classes we require your yarn to be purchased at Shrimp and Knits with a 10% discount in advance of the class. 

Needles: US 7 - 4.5 mm

Notions: Stitch Marker, tapestry needle, scissors - whatever is in your notions bag!

Gauge: Gauge 18 stitches and 28 rows = 4 inches in Dustland stitch pattern

Note- You should always knit your swatch the same way that the pattern is knit.
