The Midwinter Blanket is a FREE PATTERN designed with six squares, each to be released weekly, allowing you to savour the joy of knitting while steadily progressing towards a stunning finished piece.

Starting on 17th August, pattern instructions will be released every week according to the schedule below. Additionally, there will be a live virtual meet up half-way through the knit along, followed by a Casting Off Party at the end. We hope you will be able to join us for these fun times together, where we check in on each other's progress and share the joy of being part of the knit along experience.

FURTHER INFORMATION
Needles:
To work the squares, you will need 1 pair 3¾mm (no 9) (US 5) needles.
For the trim around the outside of the blanket you will need 3¼mm (no 10) (US 3) circular needle at least 110 cm long.
Tension:
26 sts and 27 rows to 10 cm measured over patterned st st, 24 sts and 32 rows to 10 cm measured over plain st st, both using 3¾mm (US 5) needles. Each completed square is 15 cm (6 in) square.
Finished Size:
The completed blanket is 5 squares wide and 7 squares long - total of 35 squares. Together with the trim, the finished dimensions are 79 cm (31 in) wide and 109 cm (43 in) long.
